Is it like a Teflon grease or  is the  metal sheathed in Teflon  ?
 
this is  5 level  machine  too  right!?!?

Looking at the Arizona Museum's Extel  Photo reminded me of something 
few knew.

The Carriage Return spring  on the left side of the machine must be 
treated carefully.

The  entire spring is coated with teflon, which is the key to its 
successful  operation.

If you have an Extel, treat that spring very tenderly.  Without the 
teflon coating, they will bind and drag and make life  miserable!
