   That IS a M14 tape printer.  It's not a fire alarm inker.

   The tape printer in a Model 14 attaches to the base with two
thumbscrews and sliding contacts.  It can be easily removed.
Teletype made at least a keyboard base and an RO base.  This
seems to be a variant on the RO base made by Horni Signal Co,
for firehouse use.

   That's what a printer unit looks like by itself.
That's exactly what the firehouse unit is.
