Frank,
I'm pretty "involved" right now trying to get ready for the Wisconsin Winter
and given the fact that we heat the house with wood some considerable effort
is needed. However, I do have a Model 26 with the original "proper" wooden
table which includes the paper handling features. If no one comes up with
a manual I can turn my machine around, pull off the crank and remove the
cover and take a few photos so you can see how it was originally done.
I think you will find the unique "tinkly" sound of the 26 to be fascinating!
