[GreenKeys] Model 33 Rubber Hammer Bad news

Found three of them, and put them in my pocket to bring from the workshop to
the house for mailing.

When I got them out of pocket, found they had turned to mush, sticking
together, and deforming, just from the body heat.

Unusable as models

Will look in the bin to see if I missed one, but I think I cooked the goose.

The rubber is the print hammer head. It wraps around the print hammer into
a slot, sort of like a reversed grommet.

Les is going to send me a sample. I am hoping to get Lynn Steele to make a
mold for it if the price is right.

The rubber hammer on my 33 is still largely intact. When I used the machine
briefly over the summer the hammer developed a depression, possibly caused
by softening with the summer heat. I have posted some pictures here:
http://sdrv.ms/1dOUMwT. I am wondering if I should keep it while it lasts
(keeping an eye on it all the time of course), or should I just replace it
anyway with the plastic tubing?

How is the rubber attached anyway?
