[GreenKeys] Anyone recognize this teleprinter?

I wish I had gone to the sale with her; then I'd know what transpired in better detail. I thought the bidding part of the tale was curious, but I supposed that they'd be willing to do whatever it takes to make a sale. In my mind, I guess it began as a phoned-in offer that they took pending an on-site sale, and then that was followed by yet another phone-in. Sort of an accidentaly auction. I'm glad it found a home. I'd have felt a bit guilty if it hadn't gone to anyone. Guess I'd have made a lowball offer if my wife had told me it was necessary to prevent it being tossed into the scrap heap.

Was certainly not me. Had I even considered doing something like that, I would have discussed it first with you, Wayne, since you posted about it.
"Some" over the phone bids means more than one.?I did not know that estate sales took over the phone bids.

My wife visited the estate sale again today. They had completed some over-the-phone bids for the WU teleprinter and apparently it sold for around $135, if she heard correctly. Hope it was someone from the group that decided to rescue it.

Goodness, I'm not sure where the idea came from, but I certainly wouldn't have done anything like that!

I might mention that everything goes half-price on Sunday, but since they undoubtedly lack much experience with this sort of item, they may be open to offers, too. Located in Colorado Springs.

My wife sent me a picture of a teleprinter at one of the estate sales today. Assuming the picture passes through the mailbox, does anyone recognize it? I'm afraid it's overpriced at their asking $225. But they probably don't have any clue, either, and may be open to offers when it doesn't sell.
