A wonderful symphony of visuals and knowledge on the Atlantic cable
including all the early attempts...

Cable laying and cable laying ships have always fascinated me.

Left over parts of the 1858 Atlantic Cable were sawed up
and sold so of course we are looking for a piece
to show off here at the museum in our cable collection.

Bell also offer samples of various cables as lengths and
thin sections embedded in resin also as souvenirs of later
cables... we look for those too.

Anyway if you have not seen this site before have a good time!
