[GreenKeys] CW using a model 14 T-D

Many years ago I was very active in Army MARS, mainly on RTTY.  One of 
my contributions was as Official Bulletin Station for Iowa Army MARS.  I 
would send the broadcast on RTTY once a week followed by CW.  To send 
the CW we would punch a RTTY tape using one letter for a DIT and a 
combination of two letters for a DAH.  I would then run the tape through 
the 14 T-D that was connected to the key input of the rig.  A couple of 
days ago I was trying to remember just how we did that.  Google searches 
have not turned up any answer.  Does anyone here know how it was done?
