It is not UPS. At the UPS desk I used to ship from back in
Los Angeles, they had a HUGE sign behind the counter.

Most people can't package anything to survive being turned
upside down and dropped 6".

Then there's the driver. There's a weight limit on packages
for a reason. Trying to pick up a crate and get it to the ground
to put on a hand truck is going to be a problem if they're
not expecting the weight.

So far, I've never had ANYTHING I've shipped either by UPS
FedEx or the USPS arrive damaged. It can be done.
