The biggest travesty was what happened to the PAC bell SF
museum.... it was huge.... and had the collection for the famous chinatown
exchange also... .

My first 14 reperf with a keyboard and silver Celluloid keys was
my first ... wish I still had it one. one like it for old times
sake... Larry it is in phoenix metro somewhere still floating around....
unless someone scrapped it...

My friend Dennis Kidder sold it to me when I visited hi in calif
in the 70's and I had a TU I got from Kryder electronics that used to
sell Ham gear here in phx... used... The 14 cost me 25 dollars and I
think the used tube type TU was 25 also. The TU had an odd
indicator tube on it not a round eye but was using bars to indicate...
not a lot of tubes... and it had a polar relay... gosh wish I could
find the plans for it.

One of the things that was immediately obvious was how the men and women
were dressed. Women properly attired and the men with ties. Makes one
more committed to do more of a professional job if you feel professional
and are attired as such.

Great collection of photos so a big round of applause to DMM for his
efforts.

Were some of those machines Model 12's, 20's or 26's? The 14, 15 and
28's were easily recognized of course.

Sometimes i think i'd like to have a 14 or 15 printer in the shack
here. Had a real nice 14 tape printer/reperf years ago but donated it
to the local telephone museum. So sad as now the museum is gone and no
clue as to what happened to the tty machines.
