Right. I have an 8E and I'm familiar with the M865, M8650 and
M8655 interface boards and their connectors and common cables.

My problem is with a January 1966 vintage PDP-8, which predates
the later connector conventions by years (the 6-pin mate-n-lok
connector that became standard for DEC TTYs happened after the
M865). So, the question is, what's the right connector for a
TTY model 33 from 1966 -- if there was anything approaching a
standard back then. I've seen a grab-box of random connectors
for TTY cables on machines of that era -- it looks, literally,
like people just dug into their junk bin and used any connectors
they found that had at least 6 pins.
