We all appreciate all the work George Hutchison has done in finding,
saving and distributing TTY equipment (not to mention his work with
RTTY.COM & ITTY).
Apparently George has been doing this for quite a while! I was just
going through some old RTTY Journals and came across his name in an
article (written by Irv Hoff) about the "Mouse" machines (Feb 1970
issue). In 1969, George was instrumental in getting 160 Model 28
machines from Western Electric distributed to amateurs. This was the
first time that any M28 equipment was officially made available to
amateurs and also the largest group of machines made available at one time.
The article ends with a typical "There were too many people involved to
personally recognize them all", but then mentions a few names. It then
finishes with "George Hutchison was most helpful as well."
Thanks, George and keep up the good work!!
Duncan
