Do all four of your typeboxes act the same way? If not then the typebox is probably the problem. Does it have bent pallets? Do any stick?
What about 9 and ! which are the same codes only in FIGS? Are there any other pairs that seem to be off?
Pick a letter with a central beam like T . Type an entire row of that letter. If the spacing mechanism is working the vertical lines should be spaced evenly. Try it with F and then O on the next two lines. Everything should line up.
Just some thought on trying to work out what is working and what is not.

After making some repairs to the keyboard and bringing a 60ma supply over from the other building we are in business. The only issue I'm seeing is the spacing of some letters when printed. The letter keyed is always correct, but some letters 'bunch' (they are consistently the same letters, such as O and F together). -Cory
