Hello Jeff and other. I use the old RCA CV-57s 455Kc IF converters and  
CM-14 comparator  (URA/6) with two R-390a one with a 13 element Hoz. Log  ant 
on one and a Higain Hi Tower vertical on the other works, great will copy  
things I can not even hear by ear . Also for a bit  more modern I  have two 
HAL ST-8000s (AUDIO SHIFT) converters  running off the line  outputs of the 
same R390a they Have a Diversity comparator in them you just need  to wire it
