Is this for the DC motors? Didn't think about anyone using them. I've seen some
small cardboard cylinders at the local surplus place that are marked Teletype Brushes.
Would anyone want more info on those?

    Hey folks:

I think I finally found a cost-effective gizmo for tty motor power -- the PowerSwitch Tail II

   http://www.powerswitchtail.com/Pages/default.aspx

Only 26 bucks and worldwide versions available.? Not UL-listed, but the PCB looks like a safe layout (peek at the kit, but buy it assembled).
To get a UL-listed relay like this from a place like russound or xantech will cost about 100 bucks.
I started looking at little relay/driver pcbs at sparkfun and then dealextreme, but found that lots of them had low-voltage circuitry or groundplane too close to hv traces.? This gizmo looks like a decent design.? Too bad it is not UL-approved, but then it would cost twice as much.

I've ordered a couple to play with and I'll let you know what I find.
