Nico,

On the line feed upstop, add 3 pieces of vinyl tubing each a little larger to get approximately the same size as the orange piece that is missing.

Start with the upstop all the way up and adjust down until the 33 line feeds, but only on LF not on all characters. See pics. Dont try to make the 33 with the tight platen LF until you fix the bind.

On the platen bind, check to make sure there is some end play. There is an adjustment on the right side. You can try oiling the ends, but you probably will have to remove the platen and lightly sand down the ends where they fit into the brackets.

To remove the platen, mark the right side of the platen mounting plate with a sharp tool and remove the platen from that side. Scratch a line where the vertical adjustment would be and loosen the two screws. Then remove the two screws on the rear of that side that go into the white metal rail. You will have the scratched line to use as a guide when you reassemble. The paper release rod will come out of the small roller when you do this and you have another 33 to look at if you get in trouble. Its tricky, but you can get it back together.

Subject: [GreenKeys] ASR 33

Hello everybody
I have at present two ASR33's for repair, and they have a common fault.
t the back of the unit, there is a small black plate holding a small thin
pring to keep the line feed linkage in place. On the same plate, there is
lso a brown (in my cases) plastic thing, that keeps the line feed drive
ink from coming up too far. These parts are broken/missing, so I need to
sk you how you fixed this problem. Can't believe that I'm the only one
aving experienced this.
On one of the units, the roller is extremely difficult to move. The previous
wner in fact ruined the white knob trying to roll it manually. The unit was
ery dirty, so it could just be a matter of lubrication. How can I remove
he roller without upsetting things?
¨Thanks
ico
