That was a remarkably capable little unit for 1980...I fell in love with 
it while doing in-house PDP-11 software for DEC.

As I recall, it had a variety of outputs and even limited graphics. If 
I'm not mistaken, it was a bit of a skunk-works project that managed to 
escape to the outside world, but without any marketing muscle behind 
it.  I don't think DEC knew how to sell it, since it wasn't a Rainbow 
and yet could do more but was physically smaller. It was an extremely 
computer-like terminal device.  Weird but -useful-.

It's fantastic that documentation is available online 33 years 
later...definitely worth it to get going..and post a few pictures if you 
can!
