The interface board and firmware that I've designed for the ASR33 and 
Model 15 could be used for this sort of odd interface to connect it to 
modern hardware.  All of the current loop driving, weird baud rate 
generation and ASCII to code mapping is handled in the AVR firmware so 
that it shows up as a normal USB serial port to the computer.  So if 
you're planning on connecting it to a Pi or SimH virtual machine instead 
of an RTTY receiver or something like a real Altair, this might be a way 
to make use of an oddball device like this one.
