[GreenKeys] Creed 6S reader with sluggish motor

Folks,

  I have been looking at the Creed equipment at www.mosi.org.uk which 
was attached to the Pegasus computer. The Creed 54 teleprinter appears 
to run just fine, but I havne't fed any current loop current into it 
yet. However today when I put power on the Creed 6S reader it was 
reluctant to start and the motor seemed to slow down and stop turning. 
Its de-clutched from the reader mechanism, but the motor seems stiff to 
turn. A brief glance through the manuals does not indicate any 
lubrication of the motor is required. Any thoughts any one?
