UNIVAC 1107 and 1108 mainframe computers used a Fieldata typing unit in
the system console, based on a Teletype Model 28/29 mechanism.  6 bits,
no shifts.  This is the best picture of the console I can find:

The keyboard was not Teletype; it was a set of pushbuttons
decoded electronically, built by UNIVAC.
