Hi all,

 

I hope Holidays were wonderful and the new year is a good one for you and
your families.

 

To those of you who have called and emailed, I apologize for the delays in
responding.  I have been trying to motivate Jerry to call and email, but am
not having much luck. Please understand that he is just not himself. He
knows he isn't progressing and is depressed, as any of us would be. I don't
think I could have the strength he has shown.

 

We have seen a neurologist and the MRI shows that the fluid in the ventricle
is not being distributed properly and the pressure on his brain is building
again.  We are waiting for a call from the surgeon, the only option is to
put in a permanent shunt to drain the fluid to the stomach.   When I know
more, I will let you know.  At least we know why the progress has slowed and
the doctor says  there is a good possibility that this surgery will be what
it takes to get him going again.

 

Please continue to send your prayers and positive thoughts, I know it is
what keeps us going!!
