Just wanted to share a bit of New Year's excitement... As some of you may recall I've been intermittently popping up now and again ever since acquiring an ASR-33 and then a model 32 several months ago, but for the most part I just lurk and sob each time a Saturday's worth of Baudot-Art comes and goes while my 32 sits quietly. In the mean time, lots of moving and packing. 

So today, in the midst of unpacking more books and equipment in my new shop, and taking a break from all the carpentry tasks, I decided enough was enough and built up a 60mA loop supply, traced out the wiring in the 32, and got Eric's demod board functional through the RTTY website on my iPad. And I must say, as the machine jumped to life, I haven't smiled like that in a long time. Pure magic watching those news stories appear right there in hard copy.

So thanks again for a great community. Looking forward to more "magic".
