[GreenKeys] Teletype in movies

The Good Shepard starring Matt Damon. This movie had several  TTY's (I can't recall if they were 26's or 15s/19s) I believe Jack Hart provided machines for this. I forget which models were displayed. My 28ASR went to that movie (while it was owned by Jack), but as hard as I looked out for it, I did not see it :)

Here are some pics from one of my favorite sci-fi movies, Andromeda Strain (1971). There are pics of the 33ASR that they painted black. There are also some pics of M35s, including the paper
scrap in the bell that prevented them from hearing an incoming transmission (yeah, like you wouldn't hear the machine pounding away). Just a fun little bit of teletype trivia from the movies.

How about TV Series, I am watching, re-watching after 40+ years Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, not the movie but the TV series, in the first season the show a 28KSR either on land or on the sub.

I havent seen it yet, but there should be some 32 and 33's in the movie "Argo".  Its about the Iran hostage crisis when Jimmy Carter was president.  I believe its nominated for Academy Award.

I gave some advice and sold a few parts (inlcuding a lid w/window) to History For Hire in Hollywood.  I am looking forward to the movie and maybe seeing the 33's and even my lid.

Not as good as Don being in "Flags of Our Fathers", but my only connection with a movie.

They cut Dons scene from "Flags", but I enjoyed his narrative of the experience of working with "Mr. Eastwood".
