Ralph.... thanks  for the  info!  as always  insightful!
Since our  Museum is   fixing up  our police museum  with  a  28 KSR  I  
got  curious  as to how  the  system  worked.
So might as well put together a page on the  site about the  police  system 
 
OK! any other stories???  folks!? or... links to     articles  etc?
 
I  found the below  bell labs  ad  floating out there  a while back but...  
not  on the  police...
