[GreenKeys] enlighten me regarding Model 19 rectifier

Yes, the REC-30 puts on a nice orange & bluish-purple light show during 
operation (there is also a large voltage regulator tube in there).  It 
provides a source of high-voltage DC to run the tape punch solenoid, 
plus various & sundry local loops.
