Richard,
A suggestion......I use several feeds to my Hal gear. Thus one connector doesn't cut it.
I removed that mil. connector, put a small piece of aluminum plate behind the opening ....includes covering the 4 mounting holes....and thence drilled and mounted two RCA phone connectors, neatly centered and offset, on the plate.
The wires to the feed points are easily understood. This job turned out as good as any factory could do...if I say so myself and the utility of those connectors is a daily convenience. I did this with all the mil. connectors and never regretted it.
If you want a pix, I'll send it later today.

Anyone out there in Greenkey land know where I can get a couple of relatively inexpensive connectors (data in/out--audio in/out) for a Hal ST-8000a? I'm sure someone has been down this road before.....stoopid military connectors anyway....I'm sure Hal still has some for big $$...not on a senior's Soc Sec budget.
I recently retired and have had this thing on the shelf for 4 years hoping to get to spend some time with it. I do have a manual and suppose I could kludge something up, but it would be nice to have the two plugs.
Tnx fer yer time.
