This machine was part of the Air Force 'Auto-Din' network. George Hutchinson has commented on  this machine in the past. At one time I had one of these machines and it is geared for 100 WPM and NO gears are available to run it at another speed if left in that configuration! One of the 'TDs' is actually an LX, which is a parallel output tape reader.I replaced the LXD - LX combo with a LBXD which required changing the base assembly as well as other changes.
