I recently acquired a HAL CT-2100 RTTY/CW stand-alone terminal dating from somewhere between 1981 and 1983. It had a few minor problems when I received it but I've repaired those and it runs pretty good now. Needs an external video monitor for display, but it does a credible job copying CW (even a bug if the guy isn't too sloppy) and does extremely well on RTTY with signals that are several dB above the noise on my K3/P3 panadapter.

Since, I've found and have coming a working TONO EXL-5000E (Theta 5000 to the overseas guys) that is more suited to my environment here.

I'd be willing to sell the CT-2100/KB-2100 if anyone here was interested in it. It is very clean and works well sinced I replaced a bad 25K pot and repaired several bad solder joints the factory missed all those years ago (that got a chuckle out of HAL's engineering manager Mark Prather when I spoke with him on Monday).

The only problem is the shipping weight will be around 30 lbs.

I do have the original operator's and service manuals for it and they are in excellent condition.

I'd like to get around $100 for it plus shipping, but that price is very negotiable.

If there's any interest, might be best to contact me off list to keep the clutter down.
