A member of Subterranea Brittanica has passed this message onto me.

I have no desire for a teleprinter, but there may be others in the UK
who are interested.

Please contact Alex at the email in the header below.

Subject: [subbrit] Bucks County Council Bunker, Beaconsfield

All,
Bucks County Council have unfortunately begun internal refurbishment
works at the old bunker in Windsor End, Beaconsfield to turn it into a
store.

In my limited capacity as a BCC surveyor I have stuck my nose in at the
last minute (when I found out) and tried to rescue a few things from
what limited paraphernalia there is remaining. The only items which I
can see might be of interest to SB or the various museums/collectors are
the Mitel/BT TSX 50 EMP
exchange cabinet (with TSX50 still inside) and the two Creed 444 telex
units. It appears the WTB unit has been 'liberated' at some time in the
past.

Does anybody want to take these away to avoid them being skipped?
Obviously The EMP cabinet is pretty heavy and needs a trolley and a
couple of people to remove. I have been assured that Mitel/BT do not
want it back. Likewise the GPO do not want their telexes, which are also
fairly bulky but more manageable.

It's a bit of a last ditch attempt to help to be honest. Please contact
me off list if you would be interested in saving these items, there is
nothing else left of interest I'm afraid.
Any takers?

Please can I ask that nobody goes to the site unannounced. It's not my
refurb project but it is a closed site for insurance reasons.

Regards,

Alex Horsfall-Turner
