The transmitter appeared to perhaps be original (though missing a cover plate) but the little receiver has been ham-modified and so may not be of interest to the warbird restoration community except as spare parts. Or so it seems....a few more photos may reveal alterations to the transmitter as well. Penciled markups on the transmitter may be hints that changes were made and that was how they were 'documented'. Ham-altered units wouldn't be good museum candidates. But there may be hams happy to get their hands on already altered units for restorations, space parts, or to put on-the-air.

Yes indeed.  Many thousands of those SCR-274N airplane radios were 
made for WW-II, but most of them have been butchered.  So a good place 
for them is some group doing an authentic restoration of an old 
airplane.
