I have three of these Dovetrons here and was trying to figure out why
one older one had led red cross and the others had crt tube ... guess
I should have suspected a retrofit.! Ed# _www.smecc.org_

My new Dovetron arrived today. What a thing of beauty. Looks like its
never been used. Screws in the lid had not been turned for one thing. There
was all sorts of documentation from Dovetron about their products which
were a page length for each. This unit has the TID-100 board plugged into
the mother board. No i've not tried to read what its programmed for.

Apparently this came originally with the scope and now it has the +
display feature. The manual that came with it only talks about the scope
features and nothing about the current display. Does someone out there have a
file from their manual that talks about what the different symbols or lighted
segments mean that appear in the different quadrants. Lower right and
upper left are for tuning it appears but it seems to me that the two bars in
the middle , whether lighted or not meant something as well but i don't
recall what it was.

It also appears that the tuning for Mark-Space is not correct. While i
can get a good cross (+) the upper left led does not completely extinguish
and the frequency reads about 2295 on the mark tuning control. The Space
side reads around the 2550 cycle mark but that lower right led is
extinguished. I need to do a calibration of those two it appears.

This is an MPC-1000 unit

Seems to take a pretty high input to put the loss of sig lamp out even
with adjusting the Threshold and level controls, May be something else that
can be changed out to lower the sensitivity.
