I took the course in Norfolk around 1976. I still remember the instructors, Chief Fortner and PO1 Cuebus (sp?).

Memorizing all the names of the parts was a real challenge, especially since you had to use the full nomenclature of the parts when asking or answering a question. If someone used the word "whatchamacallit" Chief Fortner would pull out a Nestlé Whatchamacallit candy wrapper and berate the offender.
