[GreenKeys] M33 Shipping Screws

I am planning to show off my M33 at DEC Legacy
<http://wickensonline.co.uk/declegacy/>  in October, which means
transporting it in my car for about 100 miles or so. Since it will be me
moving it and doing the driving I was wondering if it is necessary to
install shipping screws? If so, what is their spec as I don't have them?

 

Do they just hold the typing unit in place? If so I have always been curious
as to why the typing unit is "loose" in the subbase anyway, why should the
shipping screws even be removed?
