[GreenKeys] strange TTY setup?

Well, you could look at what a Teltone Line Simulator (I bought several on eBay before the "foreigners" bought them all---I asked the FBI why foreigners would be interested in U. S. telephone systems but never got a reply). They have several models but I suspect they would take care of a lot of the "housekeeping" associated with what you want to do that would be really awkward with 6L6's and 6C4's! And then you could find someone to sell or give you one of those Radio Shack (and others) automatic dialling burgler alarms. At least you could program them.

        Hi All,

When you pick up a phone, you gets a dial tone. OK, so how about a device (has to be tube:-) that upon inserting a tape into a TTY reader to be sent that would recognize the dial tone, and before sending the tape, would provide a series of DC pulses to the SxS to dial a certain line that has a TTY attached to it. (wow, talk about a run on sentence...)

The device in question would have a number of buttons on it with various telephone pair numbers on it. When pushed, the unit would see that the TTY tape reader was ready, wait for a dial tone, send pulses upon receiving dial tone, and then let the TTY tape rip.

Just a strange thought from a strange mind...

        Best,

        Joe
