I think one could get the right sort of eyelet and tool
by taking a ribbon with a sample eyelet to a fabric store
like the ubiquitous Jo-Ann. They have lots of snap
fasteners and grommets but I think you have to show the
thing to someone to get the right kind.
FWIW you can buy ribbon in bulk. I don't remember how
long the spools are but I think perhaps 100 feet, maybe
longer. Makes sense only if you use a _lot_ of ribbons.
It would appear that Teletype machines use standard
Underwood ribbons. The same ribbons fit many typewriters.
Many others use ribbons without the eyelets at the ends like
later Olympia machines (earlier ones use eyelet reverse).
