and those are all the 730,740-series.

I have one of these,

which is a model 725 and their definition of "portable" was certainly
called into question for that thing.

There is an RS232 connection that comes out of the terminal on a
cable that you then loop right back to a connector on the back to make
connection to the acoustic coupler on the side.  Or, you connect this
cable to your own DCE equipment such as computer or hard wire modem.

I was gonna say,

	This part confuses me.	Which would be 5-bit?  the M43 or
	some version of the Silent 700?   Was there a '700 that did 5-bit?

and then I went back and re-read the TI brochure that Steve linked
to above and sure enough, the RO model was available with USASCII or
BAUDOT/CCITT coding.  Interesting.
