Hello Richard & al;

A quick glance at some of the term.

o RO - Receive Only - does not have a keyboard.

o KSR - Keyboard / Send / Receive.

o ASR - Automatic / Send / Receive.

o PERF - a tape punch that is somehow connected to a keyboard
   so when you type, it punches tape.

o REPERF - A tape punch that is a stand-alone device, as a
   printer receives data and prints on paper, the reperf
   receives data and punches tape.

o T.D. - Transmitter Distributor takes punched tape and
   send it.

o CHAD TAPE - a tape that has the holes punched clean thru.
   Hopefully the chad box is emptied on a regular basis. But
   no matter what, you will always find some little tape circles
   inside the perf/reperf.

o CHADLESS TAPE - the "circles" stay attached to the tape, leaving
   no mess behind. The bad part is something the covers can get
   squished closed and then when the tape is put into the T.D. it
   won't be read properly.

I hope I didn't leave too much out. It's been about 45 years since
I've played around with anything other than a 28-KSR.
