Ah, the Texas Instruments Silent 700 line.

I remember them well, although I will admit that I had to look up the 
number of this ASR model.

Interesting description by the (clearly clueless) seller though "This was a 
mini computer of its day."

The big problem with the Silent 700 line was that they were based on the 
Trendcom thermal print engine, and of the issues of thermal printing - 
coated paper, fading, etc.

Ingeniously, but too late to save the 700 line, someone figured out that 
the printhead would work great with the film typewriter ribbons.

I had a typewriter that used these and as a test, I stuck a piece film 
ribbon in the TI, and voile, permanent copy.
