Well the NIM BIN   is an acronym for Nuclear Instrumentation Module.
There is a standardized rackmount module cage that the nuclear research
community came up with as a way to get away from a bunch of separately-
packaged odd-sized instruments at their experimental facilities.  But I
have no idea what that particular one does.  Maybe you could find a
catalog or data sheet from the manufacturer if they are still in business.
