we had a BRPE in an HP configuration we used to output mylar from our
HP 2000 timeshare system!
We also at one point had a hi speed TALLY punch also

rear of the room and I think that is the TALLY though... darn.. been
to many years... this was our development and test system and the
prime system is to the right. I would like a HP wrapped BRPE or a

high speeds. The BRPE easily punched 1050 wpm and the DRPE
punched up to 2000 wpm. Printing the characters on the tape is a
whole different story in 1959. Reading punched tape fast again was
done by several Teletype products and other manufacturers but I
would have to see a fifties machine print characters at 750 wpm to
believe it.
