Nick,

Western Electric used, stranded / tinned number six wire to distribute the 
48 volts to telephone frames and switches.  This wire is gray for the 
positive (always positive ground) and gray / black for the negative.  You 
need this to carry your 60 ma. loop.  I have several 500 foot rolls of this 
I removed from an ATT microwave tower site.  Because it's extremely 
flexible, bends won't distort your DC data to the magnet.

I'm selling it for $90/ft.  How much do you want to buy?
