I use mplayer to play the stream and feed the audio to hardware. 
you can also feed the audio back into the computer and decode it
with fldigi. Alternatively if you just want the text, I've written
some software that will take the digital audio stream and decode
it directly to text, but its a bit of a hack to get linux to 
deliver the audio data to it in the right format... let me know
if you want it.
