Hmmm... So if 60Hz is such a "natural for clocks" (which makes 
sense to ME), then why DID those people chose 50Hz, 25Hz,
or other frequencies over it?  

(Longer transmission lines caused unacceptable losses at 60Hz?  
Patent avoidance?)
