I have a HAL ST-8000A HF Modem (Ser #651) which is looking for a home. The bad news: it doesn't power up. The good news: it's free (for shipping cost only). I took off the cover and there appear to have been no modifications, everything looks clean (darn they did beautiful work). A good project for someone else, as it's beyond my electronic skills and not needed here. First reply gets it. I figure with packing and UPS it'll probably be around $30 to ship - any more and I'll cover it. 
Thanks to help from the list, my WU 2-B is cranking out print from ITTY and very solidly.
