Greenkeyers:
There is a Teletype M28 RO set available at a government auction in
Oklahoma City. Here is the link:
http://www.govliquidation.com/auction/view?id=5152329&convertTo=USD
The machine is item no. 17. There is no picture of the Teletype machine.
The machine is described as a TT-171C/UG (MK-1085/UG). The base is
an LB4/161. The typing unit is an LP14WY/AJG which is a standard
friction feed typer with ACRLF and non overline. The electrical service
unit is an LESU7/147 and the motor is an LMU3. The cabinet is an
LAC204BR237 which is a standard floor model gray cabinet. This is a
standard Model 28 RO. The "MK-1085/UG" is the government designation
for the 323804 low level modification kit. The TT-171C is a high level
(meaning 60ma input) machine and it has apparently been modified to
low level operation. Condition is shown as A1 which usually means that
it is unused (possibly factory new) or that it has been through the depot.
Bidding starts on 28 March and ends on 30 March. Award time is 31
March. If you are not familiar with government auctions, you have to
take everything in the lot even though you only want the Teletype
machine. Starting bid is $50.00.
The information presented here is from the bid offering and from other
documents and databases that directly reference the item being offered.
Good luck.
