[GreenKeys] ITTY and WinAmp

Hi Guys,
Audacity is a good program although I found it a bit daunting to setup because it has so many features. Personally I prefer Wavelab. The problem I found with the Windows Sound Recorder is, it will only record 60 seconds of audio - unless someone knows how to change it.

There is a program called Audacity that you can record and save in many different formats including mp3 then burn to a cd.
It also have many filters and ways to manipulate and edit the file once captured. Virtually any audio you play on your PC you can capture.
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ It is a free program! You can record hours at a time depending on the hard drive space you save the file to.

Windows has a utility called "Sound Recorder" While playing on WinAmp, open
up Sound Recorder and capture the audio. You will need to figure out an
audio loop-back method. This does not capture the "pure digital" media
since the stream is converted to audio before being converted back again.

There are other fancier tools used to capture "digital" audio used by audio
buffs, but I've never used them. I've avoided "free" software tools since
they sometimes have hidden and covert nasty agendas.

Slightly off topic but very important to me.... Running ITTY under
WinAmp.... Is it possible to stream the audio for say 10 minutes to a file
so I can burn a disc? I do not have direct audio from an online CPU to
ST6... But I can play a cd to the ST6......

    Thanks,
    John
