George has recently upgraded his system from Olypen to Qwest which supports
higher speeds. Everyone will need to update their IP addresses. George is
still working on getting a domain name to support others stuck with using
Microsoft or Apple based emailers. The preferred emailer is still
RTTYMailer. Here's a list of the changes (PORT numbers are the same, only
IP address is different):
-------------------------------------
ITTY:
http://209.180.212.65:8000/listen.pls
Use Port 25 or 593 in the RTTYMailer
-------------------------------------
Politics, Military and National News:
http://209.180.212.65:8040/listen.pls
Port 598 or 599 in the RTTYMailer
-------------------------------------
AutoStart:
http://209.180.212.65:8030/listen.pls
Use Port 594 or 595 in the RTTYMailer
-------------------------------------
UPDATED INSTRUCTIONS:
The "Instructions" are still at the following URL and have recently been
updated:
http://www.rtty.com/itty/index.htm
-------------------------------------
RTTYMailer:
If you are looking for the latest RTTYMailer software, it can be found at
the following URL:
http://bsdl.k7tty.com/ You will want the "RTTYMailer" for your basic needs
for uploading bulletins to ITTY, National and Autostart.
-------------------------------------
GETTING THE MMTTY SOFTWARE:
MMTTY is still the most popular program for using the computer to copy ITTY.
I followed the path from http://www.rtty.com to
http://www.rtty.com/itty/index.htm and next to http://hamsoft.ca/ and found
that the MMTTY teletype software is still available. Poking around on
buttons, the download URL for the standard version is
http://hamsoft.ca/pages/mmtty.php or for the FSK version is
http://hamsoft.ca/pages/mmtty/mmtty-with-fsk.php for the software.
---
If you are interested in one of the other decoder programs, the link to most
of them is http://www.dxzone.com/catalog/Software/Multimode/ .
-------------------------------------
George has a new email address, please update your address books:

Subject: Re: [GreenKeys] ITTY Back Up

Hi:

Do you have a current and correct URL that I can use to download
the ITTY software on my PC? The ones listed on the ITTY pages
don't work -- full of advertisements, mechanic jobs, overlays, etc.

I bought a new computer and would like to get ITTY on it.

The URL listed on the MMTTY page doesn't work either -- non-clickable.

I have the ITTY sound files (Shoutcast) and they are fine, work well.

Any help appreciated,

Dave in SC
