     Maybe.  Usually the motor pinion and its mating gear
are a set, because that determines the machine speed.
The pinion is removable with appropriate gear-pulling
tools.

     It's compatible.  The motors are compatible
from 1924 to 1959.  However, the later ones have
better insulating materials.  There's a centrifugal
starting switch in the things, and it tends to be
the first part to fail.  A failed centrifugal
switch produces arcing while running, not just
briefly at startup.  Also, the insulation on the
early models can deteriorate.

     I have one that needs a centrifugal switch
repair, if anyone wants it.  It will run, but
produces ozone.
