Indeed.  You may wind up with a bearing that's sealed with it's grease  
inside, unlike the motor bearings that need a shot of grease every  
once in a while.

If you have a dial caliper, or micrometer you can measure the outside  
and inside diameters and look in bearing supplier catalogs.  Please  
report your success, since I have one of those shift boxes in a Model  
28 KSR.

Note: at one time the rear wheel bearings on my old (1969) Volvo were  
priced at $53 at the dealer and $23 at the bearing supply place.  (I'm  
about to pull the bearing and seal out of my garden tractor rear brush  
cutter and find a bearing supply place.)
