[GreenKeys] Jerry Update

Everyone who was praying for Health South, be sure to say "thank you" this
morning.  Jerry was transferred yesterday afternoon!  He is in room 202B,
visiting hours are 8am to 9pm.
He was confused by the move, so he just slept from the time we got there and
was still sleeping when I left around 2 this morning.  This could be a very
long process.
I was really pleased with the care Jerry received at Mercy SW, but no matter
how much you like the people caring for a loved one, you need to be
vigilant.  Jerry arrived at HS with a severe infection in the PEG line area.
This is the feeding tube that they have in his abdomen.  It was something
that should have been spotted and taken care of days ago.  My point is;
don't take anyone else's word that things are being done properly, check it
out yourself.  When they were checking the dressing, I should have ask to
see the wound. This could have gone septic but at the very least has set him
back several days on his recovery.
Anyway, another lesson learned, don't be too trusting, or as Jerry would say
"trust but verify".
