Greg,

Sounds like you are doing great!  It is always a wonderful feeling when 
a project comes together and actually works!!  (especially if it is 
something you never did before!)

The keyboard will feel stiffer or "klunky" compared to an electronic 
keyboard,  you are MOVING METAL NOW, MAN!  Just check that the five 
horizontal bars that the key levers press down on move easily.
